Story Under the Stars features Superman!

Story Under the Stars returns to the lush lawn of Story Manson Park with a special 40th Anniversary screening of Superman (1978)! BFS invites everyone to arrive in their own Super Power costume and join the celebration of the 40th Anniversary of  Bozeman Film Society (1978-2018.) The fun begins at 7:00 pm and includes kid’s activities, a Kryptonite scavenger hunt, Super-Hero costume parade for anyone & anything in costume, Fire truck and Police Squad car demonstrations, Story Mansion tours, popcorn, food and ice cream trucks. Low-back chairs and blankets encouraged. Pooches on leashes, please, and costumes encouraged for everyone, including pets! The film begins at dusk and is rated PG. 142 minutes.

Featuring an all-star cast, SUPERMAN (1978) is largely regarded as the most influential superhero origin story to grace the Silver Screen.

As young Kal-El flees his doomed planet of Krypton, his ship crashes in an open field on Earth. Discovered by a farmer and his wife, the couple adopts and raises him as their own son, Clark.  As he ages, Clark discovers that he has powers that ultimately send him on his destiny to become the Man of Steel.

Directed by Richard Donner and set to a John Williams score, SUPERMAN stars Marlon Brandon, Gene Hackman, Ned Beatty, Glenn Ford, Terence Stamp, Margot Kidder, Jackie Cooper, and Christopher Reeve in his iconic role as Superman.  Join us and you’ll believe a man can fly!
